After all, the luxury car market is more popular! After the luxury brands achieved bucking growth last year, they have achieved significant growth again in the first quarter of this year.
Recently, according to the first quarter sales announced by Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi, BMW overtook Audi to reach the top sales champion,
and there is not much difference between the two. And Audi, in third place, still has a certain gap with the former two.
Specifically, in the first quarter of this year, BMW ranked first with 229,748 vehicles, achieving a year-on-year increase of 97.30%, a record high in the next quarter.
Since the beginning of the year,
BMW has maintained a good momentum of development. Its 3 series, 5 series and X3 are the main models in China.
It is worth noting that in the past 2020, the BMW Group delivered a total of 777,379 vehicles to the Chinese market. Entering the first quarter of 2021, BMW once again bucked the trend and became the “double crown” in sales and growth.
Mercedes-Benz, the top-selling brand in the past, lost 222,520 units in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 60.1% year-on-year. From the perspective of vehicle models, its C-class, E-class, GLC and other star models have achieved double-digit growth.
It is worth noting that Mercedes-Benz is not only the smallest increase among the three car companies, but also lower than the performance of domestic passenger cars.
According to data from the Passenger Federation, the domestic passenger car retail sales in the first quarter of this year increased by 68.8% year-on-year.
Although it is said that Audi is constantly catching up with the “profits”, it still has a big gap with the former two in the first quarter of this year. Data show that Audi achieved sales of 207,196 vehicles in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 83.30% year-on-year.
Specifically, Audi A4L, Audi A6L and Audi Q5L are still its most popular models, with sales breaking easily.
In order to further stimulate sales growth, Audi also established a SAIC Audi team with SAIC to jointly promote development in China.
