Malala Yousafzai has signed an agreement with Apple TV +. On International Women’s Day on Monday, Apple announced a multi-year programming partnership with 23-year-old Pakistani women’s rights activist and the youngest Pakistani woman to win the Nobel Prize.

As part of the deal, Malala will help create original programming for Apple TV + in the fields of drama, comedy, documentaries, cartoons, and children’s series. Malala will produce Apple TV + original content through her new extracurricular production company. This is the first extracurricular agreement that goes hand in hand.
Yousafzai said in a prepared statement, “I believe in the power of stories to bring families together, make friends, create movements and encourage children to dream.” And I want to help bring these stories to life. Couldn’t ask Apple for a better partner. I am grateful for the opportunity to support women, young people, writers and artists by reflecting on the world.
“My focus is on entertainment, but the theme I want to cover is communication. I think [TV shows and movies] – they build relationships between us, young people, parents, as friends, friends.” Whether you’re sitting with your friends and watching your favorite TV show, or watching in a different language and learning a new culture, it all reminds us that we are a diverse world. But again, we all have a lot in common.
“In my private life, I’ve watched Bollywood movies on Cartoon Network, and it has helped us all to know who we are, to know each other, to help different cultures, and so on. So I hope I can cover a wide area with my creativity as well.
“To me, it was the influence of Bollywood movies and Hindi dramas that helped me understand society as a whole – especially from the perspective of women and girls. The Hindi series reflects the traditional role of many women. And my So, I enjoyed it and it was fun, but I don’t agree with it either, and I wanted to see it differently.
“There’s a lack of a feminine perspective, a lack of a woman’s perspective. And I often think, ‘If women directed these shows, it would be like women.’ I can get my point across and I can tell my story. Can show my face I think we need to do more. ”
In doing so, Apple is developing an existing relationship with Yousafzai. Since 2018, the iPhone has sponsored research at the Malala Fund, a non-profit organization that advocates for girls’ education. Apple helped expand the Malala Fund to India and Latin America in 2018, and the Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit also operates in Afghanistan, Brazil, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.
For Yousafzai, this is his first step in audio-visual content. She has previously written best-selling books: “I Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stands for Education and Is Called the Taliban” was published in 2013, and “We Are Homeless.” : True Stories of Refugee Life “released in 2019 under the name of Malala.
