The main camera of the high-end version will be upgraded to 48. Megapixels (1/1.3″), and this adjustment will drive the entire Android phone to adopt the bottoming CIS.
It is mentioned in the forecast that the new 2H22 iPhone will have 4 models, and the high-end 6.7-inch and 6.1-inch cameras will be significantly upgraded to 48 million pixels (1/1.3″).
This specification upgrade will significantly improve camera performance and integration It is good for Apple to promote AR/MR.
In terms of pixel size,
approximately 1.7um, 2um and 1.25um respectively. We believe that the 2H22 new iPhone may support direct 48 MP and 12 MP (four-in-one) outputs at the same time.
If it is 12 Megapixel (four-in-one) output, the CIS pixel size of the new 2H22 iPhone can be increased to about 2.5um, which is significantly larger than

The current 48 million pixel suppliers with Apple are Sony (CIS), Largan (lens) and CCM (LG Innotek).
The 4800-pixel CIS used in the new 2H22 iPhone has an area of about 130–140% compared to that of the iPhone 12. Therefore,

The large-area/out-bottom 7P lens of the 48-megapixel camera is currently jointly developed by Apple and Largan. Benefiting from the advantages of design and production capacity, we believe Largan will have at least 60-70% of the supply.
The CCM of the 48-megapixel camera is currently jointly developed by Apple and LG Innotek. Due to the increased difficulty of calibration, we believe that Apple will still rely on LG Innotek to produce CCM in the future.
Among CIS, lenses, and CCM, the current market has the lowest expectations for lens trends and prospects. It is expected that the lens upgrade cycle will begin in 2H21, including 5 trends:
1. The Face ID Tx lens
