New giants join the battlefield of self-developed chips.
According to reports, the new generation of “pro son” mobile phone Pixel 6, will be one of the first devices equipped with Google’s self-developed SoC.
The self-developed chip is code-named Whitechapel, and part number is GS101, GS may refer to Google Silicon (Apple feels…).
In the document, based on Whitechapel’s Slider platform, two devices will be bound, codenamed Raven and Oriole.
At the financial report meeting last fall, Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated that he hoped to make some in-depth explorations in hardware in order to build a strong 2021 product lineup.
In December last year, the financial media broke the news that Whitechapel has been taped out.
This morning, XDA confirmed the existence of GS101 after consulting the document.
It is also said that the internal TPU (Tensor Processor) is a three-cluster design, and it also integrates the Titan M security processor Citadel.
