Apple CEO Tim Cook talked about his successor in an interview with the media. Cook said that he may step down as Apple’s CEO within 10 years. He said, “10 years is too long, I may not stay so long, but now I feel very good, and now I will not consider resigning.”
Cook apparently did not imply who will succeed him as CEO.
Tim Cook has been working at Apple since 1997 and became Apple’s CEO after the death of founder Steve Jobs in 2011.
Cook’s answer seems to indicate that he will remain in this position for a period of time, and the exact date is not yet clear. Last year, there were media reports that Apple is paying more and more attention to the succession plan of CEO candidates, including Jeff Williams and John Tenus.
In addition, in the interview, Cook also talked about Musk, who said that he had never spoken to Elon, but he admired and respected the company established by the latter. Cook believes that Tesla has not only established a lead in the field of electric vehicles, but also maintained the lead for such a long time, which is an incredible thing. So Cook appreciates it very much.
