A few days ago,
Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Administration of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products”
and the “Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Administration of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products”.
It was decided to recall part of imported Toyota Weisa vehicles produced between April 10, 2012 and July 1, 2015 , starting from July 15, 2021 , totaling 2,109 vehicles.
Some vehicles within the scope of this recall
are bent due to interference between the door harness at the door hinge of the driver’s seat and the waterproof cover. As a result, the rear airbag sensor harness may be disconnected due to metal fatigue due to long-term use of the vehicle. The airbag warning lamp lights up.
When a vehicle collides, the side airbags and curtain airbags may not be deployed normally, which increases the risk of occupants being injured in the collision accident and poses a safety hazard.
Before the recall for repairs, if the air bag warning light is on during the use of the vehicle, please contact the nearest dealer for inspection and repair as soon as possible.
Toyota Vasa is an imported model, named “Harrier” in English. However, according to Toyota’s previous official information, the car will be introduced to the Chinese market this year for sale. At the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show, it is also expected to see the car.
